On October 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Greenburbs and Conscious Decisions will be hosting a free Green Market Exposition at The Barnum Museum, 820 Main Street in Bridgeport. The day will provide an opportunity for attendees to explore and discuss the future of true sustainability in Bridgeport and the surrounding communities. The exposition is also a community outreach project that will give residents the chance to find the training and resources for changing their lives and helping to create a greener, healthier Bridgeport .
There will be green job training resources, seminars, workshops, opportunities to learn about jobs in the area, and the latest information in green technology. Workshop and panel discussion topics even include green financial services, the future of automotive industry and an Eco Fashion Panel. Some of the guest speakers will be: Susan Giordano of Alternative Global Energy, Mayor Bill Finch, Remy Chevalier on the subject of Bridgeport’s Green Automotive Future, Jim Motavalli of The New York Times, Luis Ortiz of MIT, Robert Araujo of Sikorsky, Lloyd Fremed of Xerox, Jean Williams of 5MillionGreenJobs.org, Frank Kuchinski of Poulsen Hybrid, and Michael J. McCarthy of bluegreen Research Institute, Adrienne Houel of GBCE/The Green Team, William Leahy of the Institute for Sustainable Energy, Peter Curtiss of Gateway Community College and Carol Humphreys of Sunlight Solar.Organized by Greenburbs and Conscious Decisions, the lead sponsor is Alternative Global Energy.
