Fairfield — Pink Cupcake Shack will be the site of a “Day of Cupcakes” charity event this Sunday from 12 Noon- 5 PM in honor of family friend A.J. Rogers, who is currently undergoing treatment for Leukemia at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
Fresh from celebrating its one year anniversary last Saturday, February 4th with a Grand Re-Opening event and a new name, Pink Cupcake Shack returns to the reason “pink” is in its name: the fight against cancer.
WHAT: The daylong event will feature “Rebel with a Cause”-the newest cupcake- designed by A. J. himself. All of the proceeds from the day’s sales will be donated to the Rogers family. The Mercado family asks everyone to please stop by Sunday and show your support for A. J. and his family in his battle against Leukemia.

WHO: Diane Mercado is the owner/operator of Pink Cupcake Shack (formerly Pink Sprinkles) and a member of the International Cake Exploration Societé (ICES).
WHEN:Sunday, February 12th. Store hours for this special charity event are 12 Noon- 5 PM.
COST: Free. The proceeds from every purchase this Sunday will go to support A.J. Rogers and his family to help with their bills from the medical costs associated with his treatment for Leukemia.
WHY: A.J. Rogers has long been a family friend to the Mercado’s. He appeared completely healthy just a few weeks ago but then he was diagnosed with Leukemia and he is now at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
